The Cheapest Car in the World.
Author:kuwakenta Date:2008-07-06 11:23

You are looking at the world's cheapest car.
Tata Motors has unveiled the vehicle called Tata Nano at India's biggest car show.
The vehicle will sell for $2,500 and enable those in developing countries to move to four wheels ( from the till now 2 wheel mode of transportation).
The four-door five-seater car will go on sale later this year. It 'boasts' a 33bhp, 624cc, engine at the rear, no air conditioning, no electric windows and no power steering. The company claims two deluxe models will also become available.
Company chairman Ratan Tata (Oh thats where the name comes from...hmm) claims the car was "a safe, affordable and all weather transport - a people's car, designed to meet all safety standards and emissions laws and accessible to all".
Even though the car meets international crash test standard, the car does not have airbags. Also environmental critics have said that the car will lead to mounting air pollution problems on India's already clogged roads.
It remains to be seen how the Indian public will respond to this revolutionary new mode of transportation. The price may not seem much to us in the western world, but in India it's still a small fortune.

U-Ram Choe - When robots and art mix
Author:kuwakenta Date:2008-07-04 10:20
Artist: U-Ram Choe
URL: http://www.uram.net/
Country: Korea
1970, Lives and works in Seoul, Korea
U-Ram Choe's work engages a fanciful dialog of aesthetics and machinery, and explores themes of biological transformation, flight, and movement. In his recent work, large-scale metal and plastic automata materialize with such a delicacy and weightlessness that it seems to take on the shape and silhouette of an organic life form. Motors, heat and light sensitive materials add to the intricacy of Choe's kinetic sculptures.
With Choe's incorporation of scientific nomenclature into artwork titling systems, walking into the gallery space can be reminiscent of touring a prehistoric exhibit at a natural science or history museum-there are certain elements of recognition: mechanical diagrams, text descriptions of habitats, visible evidence of fins evolving into wings, and even propellers. The warm biologic livelihoods of machine-creatures become the subject in Choe's work. These dynamic forms bear emotion and have anthropological roots, despite their streamlined metallic sheen. Narratives authored by the artist complement his 3-dimensional designs and drawings.
November 2006 marks U-Ram Choe’s United States debut, as he opens a solo exhibition at bitforms gallery in New York. Late Spring 2007 work by U-Ram Choe will be featured in a solo exhibition at The Crow Collection of Asian Art in Dallas.
Past solo exhibitions of his work have included Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, Japan, Do Art Gallery, and Hello Art gallery both in Seoul. Choe's work also been exhibited at the Shanghai Biennale, Seoul Museum of Art, Samsung Museum, Sungkok Art Museum, Busan's Metropolitan Art Museum, Art Basel Switzerland, the New York Armory Show, Gallery Hyundai, Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Bologna, bitforms Seoul, Art Space Hue in Seoul, Gallery ChiWoo in Goachon, the Beijing Expocenter, Seoul Olympic Art Museum, and Seoul Forest Open Air Sculpture Symposium.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Software Now Available
Author:kuwakenta Date:2008-06-26 22:32

“Rapid, reliable communication is key to success on all of our projects,” said Shawn Pressley, director of project management systems and development at Hill International, one of the world’s largest construction claims and management firms. “With enhanced support for a broad range of content types and expanded collaboration capabilities, Acrobat 9 will enable us to reach any audience with the right information, where and when it’s needed. We can include proposals, images, computer-aided design models and even Adobe Flash applications in a single PDF Portfolio to clearly communicate what is required of our local and global teams.”
For organizations worldwide, Acrobat 9 helps address today’s critical challenge of communicating with widely dispersed teams of colleagues, partners and customers in a compelling way. Acrobat 9 is already garnering an enthusiastic response from long-term and first-time users in segments including financial services, government, legal, manufacturing, and publishing. They include: EDS; Allianz Deutschland AG; Italian Court of Cremona; Penguin Group; Dai Nippon Printing; and Kyowa Hakko.
Acrobat 9 provides deep support for Adobe Flash technology, enabling users to include Adobe Flash Player compatible video and application files in PDF documents. For example, a marketing manager can use Acrobat 9 to convert web pages with multimedia to PDF documents. The PDF file can be shared for review and comment with others who are using free Adobe Reader® 9 software, which is expected to launch up to twice as fast as earlier versions.
Acrobat 9 also includes the ability to unify a wide range of content into a single document with the new concept of PDF Portfolios. PDF Portfolios enable users to assemble multiple media types into one, compressed PDF file that can be customized with several professional layouts and specific branding. A sales professional could create a single proposal document for a prospective client that includes charts, spreadsheets and images, as well as a branded, introductory video from the CEO discussing the company’s latest products.
In addition, Acrobat 9 provides access to capabilities for collaborating live within a PDF document, enabled by working with Acrobat.com, a suite of hosted services available as public beta at www.acrobat.com . This new capability can enable users to drive a group’s navigation through a PDF document in real-time, helping ensure everyone is literally, and figuratively, on the same page.
The Acrobat 9 family consists of Acrobat 9 Standard, Acrobat 9 Pro, and the new Acrobat 9 Pro Extended software. The most comprehensive member of the family, Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, includes Adobe Presenter software for easily turning Microsoft® PowerPoint presentations into multimedia experiences that can be published as PDF files.

Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, Acrobat 9 Pro and Acrobat 9 Standard for Microsoft Windows®, and Acrobat 9 Pro for Mac OS X, are immediately available in English, French, German, and Japanese language versions. Author:kuwakenta Date:2008-06-26 22:09
CANON has announced their newest DSLR model, CANON EOS 1000D or also known as REBEL XS or they call it in Japan as Canon EOS Kiss Digital F. EOS 1000D comes with 10 megapixels and powered by DIGIC III image processor which will bring a wide choice of affordable good SLR in the market.

Conectivity : USB 2.0 (Hi-Speed) mini-B / Video out (PAL/NTSC) / E3 type wired remote
Dimensions : 126 x 98 x 62 mm (5.1 x 3.9 x 3.4 in)
weight : 502 g (1.0 lb)
Price : Body only - €549 / Kit - €649 (with 18-55mm IS lens)
Comparing to the previous model of EOS 450D which has been introduced early this year, this 1000D a lot more heavier and that’s why I think it’s slightly cheaper. Beside, 1000D comes with 2.5 size of LCD Monitor compare to 3″ for EOS 450D, it only has 7 point CMOS sensor for Auto focus function, that’s pity. Even though the price is quiet cheap, I still go for EOS 450D for affordable type of DSLR.

One Man Shy And His Ever Changing Penis Size
Author:kuwakenta Date:2008-03-01 23:04

The One Man series of gadgets is a favorite of ours, but wow, the things time can change. Not so long ago we talked about One Man Stuck, which featured One Man (also known as Mr. P) with a penis large enough to act as a wine cork (pretty huge for his size in relation), yet One Mac Shy has to cover his head in shame because of his dinky winky.
His small (ahem) lamp switch most have either of had a catastrophic accident, or wine bottles make him extremely aroused. Get your own One Man Shy for $99. — Andrew Dobrow
